If it is too hard to plan a menu that your child can eat and the other guests will enjoy, simply plan to have your party in the afternoon, so guests won’t be expecting you to serve them lunch or dinner. If you are serving food, make sure that there are lots of healthy things to eat, served in fun ways. Put out trays of vegetables instead of chips with dip, or crackers and cheese. Many children will appreciate the healthy fare over the sugary foods that are often served at children’s birthday parties.
Go easy on the sugar. Sure, you get a little boost right after eating a candy bar or drinking a soda, but then you crash as insulin is produced in your body. Also avoid the heavy deserts like cake and ice cream after dinner. A better choice would be fruit or a handful of nuts instead.
Where I live, the first thing you MUST ask a new guest to your dinner table is, “Do you have any particular diet you follow?” Anywhere else in the world, a guest would be polite enough (and usually hungry enough) to eat whatever is set in front of him or her. Yes, I do want to know if you’re diabetic or allergic. I am happy to accommodate actual, physical problems. But anymore I could give a DAMN about being dictated to about your FREE Choice.
If the event being organized is a dance party, then there is no need for catering services. What’s more important in this case is the music; it will be a better dance party if the organizers can invite a disc jockey. Attendees of this kind of party would rather stand up and dance than sit and eat. Just choose a bar that sells food and drinks as a venue and let the party-goers order food or drinks if ever they want some. The organizers could also arrange games or raffles for the attendees.
Where did you hear that? Although aerobic exercise burns more fat, the benefits end shortly after you stop. But strength training helps build muscle, and muscle cells are up to eight times more metabolically active than fat cells. This means muscle burns more kilo-joules than fat – even when you’re sitting still. Because muscle is heavier than fat, building muscle may initially make you gain some weight, but it’ll also burn more fat and streamline your shape in the long term.
Tell your employees about the details of the change. This is another great excuse for a party–even a simple cake-and-ice cream affair can go a long way towards generating employee goodwill. And it will give you an opportunity to tell them about the new brand and its meaning and get them involved in the change.
If you’re going digital, make sure your memory stick has enough space to accommodate the pictures you intend to take. Delete or download as necessary. Check and charge the battery too.
